Great service!! Seated me and my friend in a wheelchair very quickly, waitress was courteous and prompt on bringing things to us. I spilled my tea on the table and the manager came and gave me a refill. Will go back again

My husband and I have become HUGE sushi eaters in the last year. (We eat it like 2 a week!) We have tried every restaurant that serves sushi in the Central Arkansas area. By far this is the WORST place to go eats sushi. My husband got an assorted dish of sushi that he had to spit half of it out because the fish was awful. I looked at him at one point during the meal and he looked like he was chewing on a rubber band. Yes, that's how bad the fish was! The hibachi grill is about like any another. Same show...low quality food...extremely overpriced!! There are too many excellent sushi restaurants in the city to ever have to eat here again! I failed to mention that the service was some of the worst we've had too! We literally had to hunt down our server for our check.

Having stayed at the adjacent hotel I ate there a few times. The positives; they have soy wrap, the presentation of the sushi was well done and the bar tender was pleasant. The cons; two out of three times I had to send the sushi back to be fixed. The price does not meet the quantity of food. Being from California perhaps my expectations were too high since sushi is available on every street corner.

I absolutely love this place! Hands down the best service, food, and atmosphere. Our chef was well trained and showed us some pretty awesome tricks. He was really personable and our food was delicious. You won't regret coming here :).

Went here for my husband's birthday tonight. We had a $30 off birthday certificate which explicitly says buy one adult entree and get $30 off the rest of your meal excluding alcohol. Also, the website explicitly says sushi is included in this. So I order an entree and my husband orders sushi which is what he really wanted to for his birthday. We were then informed by the waitress and manager that sushi is not covered, it is actually a buy one get one free deal and you have to order 2 hibachi entrees. Again, the website explicitly says 'This is not a buy one get one free deal,' and 'Sushi is included.' Good thing we checked with them before we ordered. Horrible experience for a birthday. Ended up going to a different sushi restaurant and had a great meal. Will not be going back to Benihanas!

Went here for an anniversary dinner. We sat at the Hibachi table, and we both had the steak and shrimp. The chef at our table was great, he was entertaining and made the whole experience really fun. I really liked the pacing of the meal, and how it was complete, from miso soup to dessert. It's fairly pricey--about $100 for two (with bar drinks plus tip)--but it was well worth it for such a special occasion and with such wonderful service. Everything was prepared well and the portions were enormous. It was nice to sit with other couples as well. I would return and highly recommend for date night!

Food is always pretty good. Don't hesitate to customize your meal and laugh with the chefs. I tend to stick with their hibachi. Hibachi anything is a win. Not sure about sushi though

While having lunch on Christmas Eve my son and I enjoyed our meal for two.... We also ordered two hibachi entrees to go. While having lunch as we always do we asked for extra garlic butter for our rice which was granted with no worries or indication that it would be an extra charge as others asked for extra garlic butter as well. As lunch ended, of course I had to ask the server to remember to bag the salad and soup as we had paid for with our to go lunch orders. I of course asked for to go garlic butter as it always add extra flavor to the meal which wasn't an issue for the waiter to get us to go. He brings back one as we clearly had two to go orders mind you my tab being $80 dollars. LMAO as I head out I asked for another garlic butter from the single seating area near the bar. She rudely says go to the front to get butter. I did! Once I got there, the hostess was bothered by my request and tells me $1.25. I explained that I spent $80 bucks and included a $15 dollar tip and shouldn't be charged for butter. I go back around the corner spoke to my waiter and the rude a?! Manager:owner argued let me explain it "explain" to my how we want to come into the establishment and eat up everything and don't want to pay for extra butter. Very rude and as a business owner I would rather not lose out on $80 bucks plus $15 tip for a $1.25 butter. As I explained to him I paid handsomely for my meal and tipped 20% for service for two. Very rude and unprofessional. The prices are over rated for the customer service you receive there. Really how much does butter and garlic set a business back who charge on average $14 bucks a lunch entree. You all know who the manager is the big Japanese guy it's questionable if they even like what they do which is provide a great meal and great service to paying customers. Lesson learned from a business owner with multiple business: listen to the customer sometimes you have to just give them what they want easy with no issues....it's just butter! It will be another year b4 I return!

Maybe I just have bad luck, but the few times I went, the servers were rude, the food took a while to arrive, and they refuse to give you a seat until your entire party is present. The only plus side was that the food is really good.

I visited Benihana's for my birthday (sign up to be a member of "The Chef's Table" and get a free birthday meal) and wasn't disappointed. Although they have the typical atmosphere and "tricks" (volcano, train, fire, etc.), they do put a slightly different spin on their food. Outside of the traditional teriyaki chicken, they also offer lemon chicken, spicy chicken, etc. They also insisted I put the chef's hat on and take a complimentary photo which they "frame" ... Cheesy, but a keepsake I suppose.

The decor is dark, but not so dark as that you cannot preview the menu while you wait. They have a full bar if you have more than a few minute's wait time (not too often except perhaps at dinnertime on Friday & Saturday nights) and if you opt for bar seating, it's almost always instantaneous seating. I don't recommend this option for larger parties as that elbow room, etc. is then considerably lessened. The hibachi grill-tables seat at least 8 per grill and the only bum thing about this is that if your party is less than 8, the chefs won't commence cooking your dinner until the table completely full. The restaurant does offer a lunch menu that is operable weekdays 11-2 or something in that time frame that is considerably less expensive than the full dinner menu. Although somewhat pricey (the regular dinner menu, I mean), the portions are heaping & ample. "Heaping & ample" is a description that also applies to the lunch menu options so there's no skimping there. While I can't vouch for all drinks at the bar, the martinis are very strong (the way I prefer them) and delicious. I've dined here for lunch with my sister, and had big, loud parties with friends, and other times, I've ordered out (since they have delicious fried rice!); all is swell because Benihana always accommodates.

We go here about once a year. We usually get the monthly special. We usually get good service. Always fun

I have been here a few times, and again last night. I disagree with the post below that says it is overpriced. For example... Last night I had the tuna steak, and added a side of filet mignon. The meal came with soup, salad, fried rice, grilled vegetables, grilled shrimp, and green tea. The total (1 person) was $36. I've spent $36 for JUST the filet piece of meat (no sides or anything) at other places. A less extravagant meal (like one of the chicken or beef dishes) is well under $20 per person for all that food. The service can be a bit slow at times, but I've never had a problem because I'm not shy, and I will speak up and ask for something if I need it. Talk to your chef. He can get the wait staff to bring you anything you need. If you sit quiet and wait for someone to bring you something, it might take a while. The food is very good, and you will leave full and satisfied. I did not try the sushi, but frankly, why would you expect to eat good sushi in LR anyway?

I LOVE the food here. EVERYTHING is good; fried rice, grilled veggies, steak, scallops, shrimp, chicken...YUM. I only wish that it were less expensive so I could enjoy it more often.

My husband and I go to this Benihanas at least 4 times a year. It is not up to the speed of the California locations... but this is Arkansas! Arkansas=lower expectations. We always make reservations, and have been seated within a reasonable time. Sometimes the service is slow, but the food makes up for that. I order Rocky's Choice (steak and chicken), and both meats are always cooked PERFECTLY! The green tea is good, just needs a wee bit of sugar. Recently we chose to sit in the bar area. It was suprisingly nice! The food portions are just as big as when sitting at the hibachi table, but no cooks are trying to fling egg or chicken in your mouth :-) The tables are VERY small in the bar area, but it worked OK for two of us. I love the soup they serve... it's not miso soup as someone mentioned above, it's just a vegetable broth/onion soup. It's is GOOD!. To sum up... GREAT food, semi slow service... we always leave happy :-)

We had a group of 5 people and everyone enjoyed there meal. Service was good, our cook was named "Long" and he was friendly, very fast, and made a delicious meal. Our waitress forgot our steamed rice until we reminded her which was after we had eaten our vegetables which was kind of annoying. The meals were reasonably priced, $15-$25 dollars without drinks. The bar area was disappointing, mixed drinks were small and pricey. Beer was moderately priced. $3/bottled domestic beer. The bartender was friendly but VERY SLOW, but it seems to me that is how all service in this area of the country is. They should see how a bartender in the midwest works. A few small TV's which looked like they were HD capable but did not have an HD feed which to me is unacceptable from a business. In summary I would give the meal a 4/5 and the bar a 2/5.

We've been to a ton of these steakhouse places. Service was very slow on a wed. night. We had a dud of a cook. With 2 small kids you'd like they would put on a show. It was week! The food was avg. I've had better fried rice. The soup was weak for Miso and the salad just avg. It is so overpriced. We had a coupon for buy 1 get 1 free and the tried not to accept it. After going rounds with the manager they took the coupon and an extra $10.00 off. That said for 2 adults and 1 kids meal(no beer/wine ) tab was over $60.00~
